Welcome to The Daily Round. My name is Kitty O’Meara, and, for 25 years, my husband and I have lived at Full Moon Cottage, with the 4-legged companions who have always blessed our lives. Currently, the pups are Malarky (he prefers Larky), Micky, Dooley, Teagan, and Gracie. The cats are Murphy, Fergus, and Fiona.
I have worked as a teacher in private and public schools, and as a spiritual care provider in hospital and hospice settings, and–always–I have been a writer. I started this blog in 2011 and shared my periodic musings and photography for years, before saying farewell and moving on to other pursuits and some necessary healing.
Friends, and my dear partner urged me to pick it up again during the Covid-19 pandemic.
I began with a short post on my personal Facebook page, and it went viral, an ironic term as we struggled together through a pandemic, and led to many amazing artistic collaborations and a new career as an author of children’s books, fulfilling a lifelong dream.
So, I am back to wordsmithing, my passion, and I continue to feed my other loves: my family, my friends, photography, gardening, walking, and, above all, loving the earth and her incredible harboring and nurturing of everything beautiful, and the Spirits of love, creativity, and possibility, in whom we live, and move, and have our being.
Thank you for visiting and for sharing your kind responses and wisdom. My hope is that we can continue to heal ourselves and our planet in community and love.
Gentle Peace.
And P.S.: A talented friend took this picture years ago. Photographers have a hard time acquiring their own photos, since we’re the family members taking the photos. I will try to update. Maybe. I like this one.
